Depending on the asset, this may include image research, sourcing and verification, high-resolution preparation, digital retouching, restoration, enhancement, metadata preparation and presentation within the NAVARET collection.
For public-domain material, the license fee covers the NAVARET digital file and the research, preparation, restoration, retouching and related services associated with making that version available. It does not represent the purchase of copyright in the underlying public-domain work.
Some NAVARET content may instead be protected by copyright or other rights and made available under authorization, license or other applicable rights. In those cases, copyright and other applicable rights remain with their respective rights holders.

Digital Enhancement and AI-Assisted Processing
NAVARET content, including contemporary photography, historical images, digital paintings, digital drawings and other digital artworks, may be digitally edited, restored, enhanced, retouched or otherwise processed using professional digital tools, including artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.
AI-assisted tools may be used, where appropriate, for purposes such as image restoration, enhancement, upscaling, color correction, noise reduction, reconstruction of damaged areas, creative editing or other aspects of the digital production process.
Accordingly, the digital version offered by NAVARET may differ from the original source material or, in the case of contemporary and creative content, may incorporate AI-assisted modifications or enhancements as part of its production and preparation.
Where appropriate, NAVARET may provide additional information regarding the nature or processing of individual assets.

Third-Party Rights and Restrictions
The availability of content through NAVARET does not eliminate any third-party rights that may apply to a particular use, including copyright, privacy, publicity, trademark, property or other applicable rights.
Some historical, documentary, contemporary or otherwise identifiable content may therefore be subject to specific restrictions, including Editorial Use Only restrictions.
Where an asset carries specific restrictions, those restrictions form part of the applicable license and take precedence over the general permissions otherwise provided by NAVARET.
Users are responsible for ensuring that their intended use complies with the license purchased and with any specific restrictions associated with the asset.
