Licensing
Simple Licensing. Clear Rights.
NAVARET offers carefully selected photography, art, video and historical visual material under straightforward digital licenses.
When you purchase a license, you are purchasing the right to use the selected content under specific conditions. You are not purchasing ownership or copyright of the original work.
Personal License
The Personal License is intended for private, personal and non-commercial use.
It may include uses such as personal projects, private displays, personal digital collections and other activities that do not generate commercial or promotional benefit.
Content licensed for Personal Use may not be used for advertising, business promotion, commercial products, resale or other commercial purposes.
Commercial License
The Commercial License allows content to be used in commercial and professional projects, subject to the restrictions associated with the individual asset.
Typical uses may include websites, advertising, marketing materials, publications, presentations, editorial design and other business or creative projects.
A Commercial License does not transfer copyright or ownership of the content.
What You Cannot Do
Regardless of the license selected, NAVARET content may not be:
-
resold or redistributed as a standalone image, video or digital file;
-
sublicensed or transferred to another person or organization except where expressly permitted;
-
offered through another stock, image, art or digital-asset platform;
-
used to create a competing archive or content library;
-
used unlawfully, fraudulently or deceptively;

Editorial and Restricted Content
Some historical, documentary, celebrity, event or other identifiable content may be designated Editorial Use Only or may carry additional restrictions.
Such content may not necessarily be suitable for advertising, endorsement, merchandising or other promotional uses.
Any specific restriction displayed with an asset forms part of the license for that asset and takes precedence over the general permissions described on this page.
Copyright and Ownership
Licensing content from NAVARET does not transfer ownership of the underlying work.
Copyright and other rights remain with their respective rights holders, where applicable. Some historical material may originate from public-domain or other authorized sources and may therefore have a different copyright status.
NAVARET's selection, restoration, presentation, metadata, branding and organization of its collections may be separately protected where applicable.
License Information
The license applicable to your purchase is the license selected at the time of purchase together with any specific restrictions displayed for that particular asset.
If you require rights beyond the available license options or are uncertain whether your intended use is permitted, please contact NAVARET before using the content.
